When planning your Civil Ceremony or Civil Partnership, it is important to consider several conditions required by the HSE in advance of the marriage ceremony:
- Registrar Notification: Approach the Registrar of Civil Marriages for the district where you intend to marry to get information on how to proceed.
- Residency Requirement: There is no need to live in the district where you wish to get married.
- Notification Period: You must give three months' notice to a registrar. However, it is advisable to apply as far in advance as possible to secure your requested dates.
