Set in the beautiful green countryside of the South East, Carlow Golf Club is a 27-hole parkland course laid out in a former wild deer park attached to the old Bruen Estate. The course has a sandy sub-soil which is links like with undulating terrain, numerous elevated tees, several excellent dog legs and small slick putting surfaces. Carlow is playable twelve months of the year and a plugged ball is almost unheard of. It’s qualities are further enhanced by the water hazards at the 1st, 2nd, 10th and llth holes.
The new 9-hole Oak Park golf course at Carlow Golf Club is a truly terrific layout designed by the renowned architect, Jeff Howes.
