Nestled in the heart of County Carlow, Rathwood Garden Centre is a family-run haven offering a vast selection of plants, garden furniture, and home decor. County Carlow Museum is located on College Street in Carlow. The tourist office acts as a reception area for the County Museum. The Museum contains a growing collection of over 5,000 items some of which are of national and international importance. Carlow County Museum works closely with the National Museum of Ireland, particularly in the area of Archaeological Finds. Since 2003 Carlow County Museum on behalf of the National Museum of Ireland collect archaeological finds from the county.

A fine museum exhibition housed in a late 19th century church. The museum features a wide range of exhibits relating to Carlow’s military history. Artefacts date from die late 18th Century to the present day and detail the history of the Irish Army local Reserve Defence Forces, UN peacekeeping, Carlow Militia, World War I, War of Independence and much more. Other features focus on Carlow Soldiers in armies throughout the world along with armoured vehicle production in Carlow during World War II

Malones Fruit Farm is a family run business and consists of 12 acres of soft fruit. Fresh fruit including strawberries, raspberries, loganberries, blackberries, red, white and blackcurrants, gooseberries and tayberries can be purchased on the farm during the main season while large and small quantities of frozen fruit and a large selection of homemade jams and fruit juices/cordials are available all year round. The farm is a member of the Bord Glas Quality & Hygiene Scheme. Guided tours available to groups only by prior appointment.

The Royal Oak Distillery in County Carlow is dedicated to the production of premium handcrafted Irish whiskeys. Located in Ireland’s Ancient East region, it is the largest manual whiskey distillery in the country and the first to be developed in Carlow in over 200 years.
Opened in June 2016, the distillery is the key element in a €25 million investment which positions Royal Oak Distillery as one of the leading craft Irish whiskey producers in this, Irish whiskey’s second golden age.

Carlow Brewing Company, also known as O’Hara’s Brewery, craft brew traditional Irish beers and their own interpretation of international beer styles, including stouts and ales, wheat beers and lagers, all carrying the brewery founders family name, O’Hara’s. Each beer is crafted using classic brewing methods to create the traditional Irish beers styles that have long since been forgotten by many of the larger breweries.
Experience our passion for the craft. Meet the Carlow Brewing Team and walk through the brewing process with our brewers. The brewery tour will take you on a journey through Ireland’s indigenous craft brewing history, teach you about the brewing process and how we brew O’Hara’s award winning beers. You will of course have the opportunity to taste the special malts, smell the hops that make O’Hara’s craft beers so enjoyable. We finish off our tour with a visit to O’Hara’s tasting room where you will have the chance to sample and compare some of our award winning craft brews.
